The Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science was established to enable students to learn comprehensively electrical engineering and computer science. In this integrated course, students learn a variety of advanced and dream-inspiring technologies including information and communications technology that enables use of the internet, artificial intelligence and robot control technologies that support human life, very-large-scale integrated circuits used in semiconductor chips, and super-conductive technology with zero electrical resistance.

We design and develop various robot systems which are valuable in human society and serve to create an affluent society. My research "Robotics" is so-called "System Integration Technology" and requires a wide variety of knowledge, for examples, electronics, mechanics, sensor and actuator devices, control theory, and software engineering. In Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, many excellent professors with great deal of expertise ranging from sensor device to computer vision and artificial intelligence engage in research and education. You will acquire a plenty of theoretical and practical skills to become an electrical engineer/computer scientist. We hope you will join us to create future technologies that change our world.

Career Options

Most students will continue to one of the following graduate schools: the Graduate School of Information Science and Electrical Engineering (ISEE), Graduate School of Systems Life Sciences, Graduate School of Integrated Frontier Sciences and the Interdisciplinary Graduate School of Engineering Sciences, in order to acquire further cutting-edge skills in science and technology.
