【RIX-Yasui Scholarship for Overseas Study for Fiscal Year 2026】

We inform you about the call for applications for the FY2026 RIX-Yasui Scholarship for Overseas Study for Fiscal Year 2026, as outlined below.
Please review the application guidelines carefully, and applicants are requested to submit the complete set of required application documents by the designated deadline.

Scholarship Overview
Scholarship Amount: ¥80,000 per recipient (for on-site programs) ¥20,000 per recipient (for online programs)

Number of Recipients
Approximately 60 students
Note: For online programs, only programs with a student contribution of ¥20,000 or more are eligible for support.

Eligible Programs
Short-term programs that meet all of the following requirements are eligible.
However, short-term programs whose primary purpose (content) is participation in academic conferences, symposiums, etc., are not eligible.

・Programs organized and implemented by Kyushu University for students enrolled in regular degree programs at Kyushu University.
・Programs with a duration of approximately less than three months.
・Programs for which the study abroad period both starts and ends between April 1, 2026, and March 31, 2027.

Main Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must satisfy all of the following requirements.
However, international students enrolled at Kyushu University who participate in programs held in their country of nationality (home country) are not eligible for this scholarship.

・Students enrolled in a regular degree program at Kyushu University who have been approved to participate in an eligible program.
・Undergraduate students must, in principle, have a GPA of 2.5 or higher at the time of application; graduate students must have academic performance deemed equivalent.
・Students who are not receiving overlapping support from the Kyushu University Fund Study Abroad Scholarship (Travel Support Program)

Required Application Documents

・Academic Transcript (Submit the most recent transcript. As it will be used for screening, graduate students must also submit their final undergraduate transcript.)
・Document showing the program implementation period (e.g., program application guidelines)

Application Procedure
After carefully reading the application guidelines, please complete the application via the application form (Microsoft Forms) by the deadline, and upload all required documents without deficiencies to Moodle by the same deadline.

Applications submitted only via the application form without uploading documents to Moodle will be considered incomplete.
Please register for the Moodle course when submitting documents.
Note: No submissions or revisions of documents will be accepted after the application deadline.
