We conduct theoretical and empirical research on a wide range of complex problems facing cities, such as population decline, energy depletion, environmental pollution, health and welfare, education, disasters, and transportation systems, from a multifaceted and interdisciplinary approach that includes urban engineering, transportation engineering, and economics.
