Non-equilibrium Plasma Dynamics

Research Institute for Applied Mechanics

Department of Interdisciplinary Engineering Sciences, Interdisciplinary Graduate school of Engineering Sciences

Department of Interdisciplinary Engineering, School of Engineering

The non-equilibrium plasmas are a modern research field in plasma physics, and characterized by high electron temperatures and low ion and neutral temperatures relatively. In order to achieve fusion energy and utilize plasma processing well, it is necessary to investigate and control the non-equilibrium plasmas. Hence, the ultimate goal of our laboratory is to fully understand the complex non-equilibrium dynamics by developing and applying reliable plasma diagnostic techniques in magnetized plasmas.
