We conduct research and development of element extraction technologies grounded in electrochemistry and chemical thermodynamics, aiming to contribute to the realization of a sustainable future society. Specifically, we strive to gain a deep understanding of key reaction phenomena and use this knowledge to develop high-efficiency, environmentally conscious processes. Our work focuses on areas such as wet plating to enhance material corrosion resistance, electrolytic smelting of zinc, copper, and nickel, hydrometallurgical processing of nonferrous sulfide minerals, and rare metal recycling. In addition, we are developing a novel alkaline water electrolysis technology, with the goal of achieving more efficient hydrogen production.
